Eligibility

This type of public transportation service is provided following the requirements and regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

ADA paratransit is strictly limited to those who have limitations that prevent them from accessing fixed route bus stops, some or all of the time, due to a disability or health related condition.

Services are available on a prearranged basis for any trip purpose of the designated fixed-route service areas. If you feel you may be eligible for ADA paratransit service, you must apply through Siskiyou Transit and General Express (STAGE) department and be found eligible for the service according to ADA guidelines.

You may request a pick-up within ¾ mile of an active fixed route during the days and hours of service the bus route operates.

The questions on this application are designed to determine your functional abilities, and, after review, you may be asked to provide verification or additional information through a personal or telephone interview. All information in this process will be kept strictly confidential. Your application will normally be processed within 21 days of receipt, and you have the right to appeal against any denial or conditions of this certification.
